the play exposes the crass
hypocrisy and opportunism of the
elite segments aided by Cho’s
characteristic satire. About the author....

This
play lays bare the sorry state of
democracy in India and how
wheeling-dealing passes as politics
in the country. Laced with biting
satire, it attempts to sensitize
people to the rampant corruption and
lack of values in our polity. Though
conceived in the mid 70s and staged
several times within India, this
play still retains its freshness and
contemporaneity, thanks to our
politicians and the system that have
remained unchanged. About the author....

Written
and enacted by 'Cho' S.Ramaswamy, a
prolific playwright, journalist,
actor and political commentator,
this stage play was the first of its
kind in its bold forays into and
forthright comments on politics.
Supported by sparkling wit, it
caricatures the contemporary society
with such vividness that every
situation, every character and every
dialogue uttered are all too
familiar and relevant even today-
years after it was staged first in
the early 60s. Beneath the veneer of
sarcasm, author’s righteous
indignation and a desire to
sensitize people on social issues
come across with a striking clarity. About the author....

In
this stage play 'Cho' S.Ramaswamy,
the popular actor, playwright,
lawyer, columnist and
parliamentarian makes a strong
social statement against casteism.
Armed with his archetypal humour and
acerbic comments, he ruthlessly
exposes the duplicity and decadence
caused by people’s rigid and
mindless affinity to caste. Witty
yet brilliantly analytical and
thought provoking, the play has a
strong undercurrent of a righteous
indignation against the system and
its distorted values. Again, like
any other play of 'Cho', it is still
relevant to the contemporary scene,
several decades after it was staged
first. About the author....

Jurassic Baby
It
is human to expect a human to grow
one day old every day. But if a baby
grows three years old every day
after its birth and reaches almost
30 years by the time of discharge
from the maternity hospital what
will happen. The floodgates of
humour would be heartily opened if
Crazy Mohan writes the script.
Maadhu and Mythli are a happily
married couple except for the fact
that they are not bestowed with any
children. A Maanthric from Allepey
prescribes an herbal medicine for
begetting children. As it turns out
he has committed a gross blunder in
its formulation which renders the
new born with he strange phenomenon
as narrated in the beginning.
Though the Scientists cum
medicologists manage to arrest the
super growth, yet, Maadhu and Mythli
are left with a Jurassic Baby who is
mentally ten days old but physically
35 years old. The strange experience
of the parents to bring up such a
baby cum man is told with rip
roaring humour.
How routines which start from the
